Call for Papers: A special journal volume on Jung and Somatics

The Jungian Society for Scholarly Studies announces the publication of a special volume of its journal devoted to Somatics, which will be published online in early 2026 at https://jungianjournal.ca/.

Deadline for Submissions: September 1, 2025

This special volume of the JJSS focuses on developing the conversation between Jungian psychology and Somatic Studies. Authors may submit their work for publication consideration in the following sections:

1. Scholarly essays (typically 4,000 to 12,000 words). Submissions are peer reviewed. One submission per author. These essays may be in written form, or in audiovisual form (length 10-15 minutes).
2. Conversations in the Field essays (1,000 to 2,000 words in length) on all topics. These are intended to be shorter, more provocative interventions, or ideas in progress. These are usually curated, not peer reviewed. One submission per author.
3. Poetry original poems no longer than 250 words are curated by the editorial team. No more than three (3) submissions per poet.
4. Visual Art e.g. painting, photography, sculpture, and drawings or other audiovisual work (length no more than 5 minutes) are curated by the editorial team in connection with the Art Director. No more than three (3) works of art, please.
